O PROFETISMO NO ANTIGO TESTAMENTO: CHAMADO E PAPEIS SOCIAIS

Resumo

O presente artigo tem como finalidade apresentar um breve panorama sobre o desenvolvimento do ministério profético no período veterotestamentário. O objetivo da pesquisa, é analisar os principais títulos referentes a pessoa do profeta, como: profeta, vidente, visionário e homem de Deus. Além disso procurou-se compreender a natureza da atividade profética e como a mesma era importante para manter o povo na direção da vontade de Deus. Outrossim, buscou-se entender a grandeza do chamado profético e suas implicações para aqueles que eram vocacionados para o ofício. Para finalizar o trabalho, pretendeu-se ressaltar os principais papeis exercidos pelos profetas tanto no âmbito social, político e espiritual da nação. Nesse trabalho, o procedimento metodológico adotado foi o exploratório, pois visou-se conhecer o problema e torná-lo explícito. Quanto ao conteúdo, se fez um trabalho de revisão bibliográfica. Em relação ao método, utilizou-se o hipotético-dedutivo como proposta de elucidação do movimento profético no período do Antigo Testamento.

Prophetism in the Old Testament: palling and social roles

Abstract: The purpose aims to present a brief overview of the development of the prophetic ministry in the Old Testament period. The objective of the research is to analyze the main titles referring to the person of the prophet, such as: prophet, seer, visionary and man of God. It also sought to understand the nature of the prophetic activity and how it was important to keep the people on the path of God's will. We also sought to understand the greatness of the prophetic calling and its implications for those who were called to the office. Finally, the aim was to highlight the main roles played by the prophets in the social, political and spiritual spheres of the nation. In this work, the methodological procedure adopted was exploratory, as it aimed to understand the problem and make it explicit. As for the content, a bibliographic review was carried out. Regarding the method, the hypothetical-deductive approach was used as a proposal to elucidate the prophetic movement in the Old Testament period.
