CONTRASTE ENTRE O SOFRIMENTO E A ESPERANÇA NO LIVRO DE HABACUQUE

Resumo

O livro bíblico de Habacuque faz parte da divisão intitulada Profetas Menores e seu conteúdo apresenta questionamentos e inquietações em relação à justiça divina. As indagações e as respostas dadas por Deus ao profeta, geram um interessante diálogo que enfatiza as temáticas do sofrimento e esperança em contraste. Como ponto de partida, a pergunta que norteia parte do seguinte problema: como o livro de Habacuque articula os temas de sofrimento e esperança? O objetivo principal é justamente analisar a tensão entre sofrimento e esperança apresentados no texto. Os objetivos específicos são: compreender como o sofrimento é apresentado e a quem se destina no contexto de Habacuque; compreender como o tema esperança é construído no texto. O artigo utiliza-se dos procedimentos metodológicos de uma pesquisa de classificação básica, partindo de materiais bibliográficos e de natureza qualitativa. O método em si é o bíblico-hermenêutico, buscando intrinsecamente privilegiar a leitura interpretativa dos âmbitos histórico, literário e teológico do texto bíblico. Os resultados consistem na compreensão de que a articulação das temáticas “sofrimento e esperança” são tecidas em forma de diálogo. O sofrimento é uma realidade presente e a compreensão da esperança para o profeta é a atitude de esperar com confiança na justiça e na soberania divina.

Contrast Between Suffering and Hope in the Book of Habakkuk

Abstract: The biblical book of Habakkuk is part of the division entitled Minor Prophets and its content presents questions and concerns about divine justice. The questions and answers given by God to the prophet generate an interesting dialogue that emphasizes the themes of suffering and hope in contrast. As a starting point, the guiding question is based on the following problem: how does the book of Habakkuk articulate the themes of suffering and hope? The main objective is precisely to analyze the tension between suffering and hope presented in the text. The specific objectives are: to understand how suffering is presented and to whom it is addressed in the context of Habakkuk; to understand how the theme of hope is constructed in the text. The article uses the methodological procedures of a basic classification research, based on bibliographic materials and of a qualitative nature. The method itself is biblical-hermeneutic, intrinsically seeking to privilege the interpretative reading of the historical, literary and theological spheres of the biblical text. The results consist of the understanding that the articulation of the themes “suffering and hope” are woven together in the form of a dialog. Suffering is a present reality and the understanding of hope for the prophet is the attitude of waiting with confidence in justice and divine sovereignty.
