O PAGANISMO CANANEU E A DESTRUIÇÃO DE ISRAEL

Resumo

O presente artigo toma da realidade concreta uma indagação que consubstancia o problema posto: há nos dias atuais reminiscências do paganismo cananeu que se fez presente na antiga nação de Israel? Para alcançar a resposta é construído um silogismo sustentado em duas premissas: a primeira são as características do paganismo cananeu e as influências que ele gerou na nação de Israel; a segunda é a identificação, no mundo atual, de possíveis resquícios desse credo que possam influenciar o cristão. Em razão da amplitude do cenário místico atual, apenas um personagem é pinçado para ilustrar a segunda premissa: Friedrich Nietzsche. A hipótese é que a obscuridade de muitos de seus textos esteja ligada ao misticismo pagão. O confronto entre as premissas demonstra que há, de fato, reminiscências pagãs canaanitas em sua obra. O objetivo geral coincide com a resposta ao problema, ou seja, verificar se há reminiscências pagãs no mundo contemporâneo. São objetivos específicos: i) explicar o que é o paganismo e suas origens; ii) demonstrar a influência que a nação de Israel dele suportou e suas consequências; e, por fim, iii) identificar, na obra de Nietzsche, os resquícios desse credo. O procedimento técnico utilizado é o bibliográfico e a abordagem é meramente qualitativa. A tipologia é explicativa, hermenêutica e dissertativa. A título de considerações finais, além da resposta ao problema apresentado, foi exposto o risco de o cristão dedicar-se a leituras que podem incorporar no seu íntimo, sem nem mesmo se aperceber, princípios pagãos que podem conduzir a juízo divino.

The Canaanite Paganism and the Destruction of Israel

Abstract: The present article takes from concrete reality a question that embodies the problem posed: are there any reminiscences of Canaanite paganism that was present in the ancient nation of Israel? To reach an answer, a syllogism is constructed based on two premises: the first premise involves the characteristics of Canaanite paganism and the influences it had on the nation of Israel; the second involves identifying, in today’s world, possible remnants of this belief that may influence Christians. Due to the breadth of the current mystical scene, only one figure is highlighted to illustrate the second premise: Friedrich Nietzsche. The hypothesis is that the obscurity of many of his texts is linked to pagan mysticism. The comparison between the premises shows that there are, in fact, Canaanite pagan reminiscences in his work. The general objective coincides with the answer to the problem, which is to verify whether there are pagan reminiscences in the contemporary world. The specific objectives are to explain what paganism is and its origins; to demonstrate the influence that the nation of Israel endured from it and its consequences; and finally, to identify the remnants of this belief in Nietzsche's work. The technical procedure used is bibliographical and the approach is purely qualitative. The typology is explanatory, hermeneutical, and discursive. As final considerations, in addition to the answer to the presented problem, the risk of Christians dedicating themselves to readings that may incorporate pagan principles that can lead to divine judgement, without even realizing it, will be exposed.
