PATHEMA COMO KERYGMA: UMA ANÁLISE DO SOFRIMENTO COMO IMPULSO KERIGMÁTICO DA IGREJA PRIMITIVA NO 1º SÉCULO

Resumo

O presente artigo explora o desenvolvimento do conceito e a mentalidade do martírio, bem como sua relação com a proclamação e identidade da igreja primitiva, com análise desde o Antigo Testamento até o período dos Macabeus, até o culminar da perseguição na Era Cristã. O martírio é um dos mais fascinantes e mais estudados aspectos da vivência dos primeiros cristãos, sendo um fenômeno ímpar com significados profundos, que se configura como uma morte com sentido, uma morte em testemunho de sua convicção de fé. A proposta desta análise bibliográfica foi a exploração do sofrimento revelado como esperança cristã e impulso kerigmático. Apresentou-se a visão do sofrimento na mentalidade do Antigo Testamento até sua evolução no martírio ao fim do primeiro século. Foi explorado como esta realidade contribuiu para a fé e missão e uma identidade na proclamação sólida mesmo diante do sofrimento, que se manifesta, por efeito, um elemento fomentador de fidelidade e proclamação na igreja primitiva.

Pathema as Kerygma: an analysis of suffering as the kerygmatic impulse of the early church in the 1st century

Abstract: This article explores the development of the concept and mentality of martyrdom, as well as its relation to the proclamation and identity of the early church, with an analysis from the Old Testament to the time of the Maccabees, to the culmination of persecution in the Christian era. Martyrdom is one of the most fascinating and most studied aspects of the experience of the early Christians, being a unique phenomenon with profound meanings, which is configured as a death with meaning, a death in witness to their conviction of faith. The purpose of this bibliographical analysis was to explore suffering revealed as Christian hope and kerygmatic impulse. The vision of suffering in the mentality of the Old Testament until its evolution in martyrdom at the end of the firs century was presented. It was explored how this reality contributed to faith and mission and an identity in solid proclamation even in the face of suffering, which in effect manifests itself as a fostering element of fidelity and proclamation in the early church.
