DENÚNCIA CONTRA O RITUALISMO VAZIO E A FALSA RELIGIÃO DO POVO JUDEU, EM JEREMIAS CAPÍTULO SETE

Resumo

Este artigo apresenta a denúncia feita pelo profeta Jeremias, naquele que é conhecido como o “sermão do templo”. O Senhor Deus ordenou que o profeta falasse ao povo, a partir da porta do templo, contra a religiosidade vazia; a injustiça social; a opressão de estrangeiros, órfãos e viúvas; e contra a idolatria. O povo judeu estava vivendo totalmente em desacordo com os preceitos da Lei, mas apegava-se ao templo como se o mesmo fosse um amuleto de proteção. A metodologia adotada para a elaboração deste artigo segue os parâmetros de pesquisa bibliográfica. Diante da dureza e incorreção do povo, o profeta anunciou o juízo de Deus, usando como referência o fato ocorrido com as tribos irmãs do Reino do Norte.

Denunciation against the empty ritualism and false religion of the Jewish people, in Jeremiah chapter seven

Abstract: This article presents the denunciation made by the prophet Jeremiah in what is known as the "temple sermon." The Lord God commanded the prophet to speak to the people, from the temple gate, against empty religiosity; social injustice; the oppression of foreigners, orphans and widows; and against idolatry. The Jewish people were living in total disagreement with the precepts of the Law, but they clung to the temple as if it were a protective amulet. The methodology adopted for the elaboration of this article follows the parameters of bibliographic research. Faced with the people’s harshness and incorrectness, the prophet announced God's judgment, using as a reference the fact that occurred with the sister tribes of the Northern Kingdom.
